To achieve ABCP certification, it is necessary to pass the exam that concludes all Intensive (BCP501) or In-depth (BCLE2000) Courses on Business Continuity Management.
The Associate Business Continuity Professional certification is intended for those who are new to our field. ABCP certification certifies the possession of basic skills and thus good knowledge of Business Continuity Management methodologies, even if one has not yet gained much experience in the field. Starting your career path in business continuity management through ABCP certification demonstrates the professional and structured approach to a career in business continuity.
The ABCP level is for people with less than two years of experience in the field but who have successfully passed the certification exam. Any certified professional holding active ABCP status may at any time upgrade to the higher CBCV, CBCP or MBCP certifications by providing evidence of satisfying the requirements.
Once you have passed the exam, if you wish to obtain ABCP certification, simply apply on the website www.drii.org and pay the one-off fee. Subsequently, to maintain your ABCP certification level, you must pay for the annual renewal via the website www.drii.org. No experience points (CEAP) are required.
